Rate of Pay $16.50 hourly

Function
The Social Services assistant will assist on a daily basis to help clients to meet their needs within our ability.
This position will be responsible for all aspects of food donations, working with volunteers, and keep records for community service workers.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Education/Experience
Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent
· Skills
o Posses good customer Service
o Able to follow verbal and written directions
o Able to work with excel and word
o To make suggestions to Social Services Director and Corps Officer about what is needed in the food bank
· Qualifications
o Must be 21 years of age
o Must be able to stand on your feet for a long period of time.
· Driving
o If the position requires driving:
· Background Check
o Continued employment will be contingent upon a biennial (every two years) background check that is processed in accordance with The Salvation Army’s policies.
Physical Requirements
· Ability to maneuver.
· Ability to remain in a stationary position.
· Ability to grasp, push, pull, and reach overhead.
· Ability to operate telephone.
· Ability to lift 50 pounds.
· Ability to access and produce information from the computer.
· Ability to understand written information.
