This is a community‑based role. You will spend most of your time out in the field engaging with customers, partners, and local groups—not in an office.

The Social Obligations Coordinator supports the delivery of our Priority Services Register (PSR) and wider vulnerability commitments across our licence areas. You’ll work directly with customers, community groups, and stakeholders to help us meet our social and regulatory objectives. The role involves event support, producing communications and presentations, and helping shape key documents that guide our social strategy.

What you’ll be doing

  • Deliver PSR and vulnerability service targets.
  • Support the Customer and Social Delivery Team with administration and coordination.
  • Organise meetings, events, stakeholder visits, and schedules.
  • Track actions, communicate updates, and follow up on progress.
  • Create and deliver presentations to internal and external audiences.
  • Work with teams across the business to ensure delivery remains on track.
  • Support process mapping and the development of strategy, quality, and operational documents.
  • Travel across licence areas to meet customers and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to achieving social commitments under the price control framework.
  • Support internal and external communications, including newsletters.
  • Assist the Vulnerability Team Manager with materials and presentations.
  • Deliver local initiatives and support continuous improvement plans.
  • Participate in storm or major event response when required.

What you’ll bring

  • Strong organisation skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Confidence engaging with people at all levels.
  • Ability to simplify issues and drive action.
  • Creativity in preparing communications and presentations.
  • Good PowerPoint and Excel skills.
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing demands.
  • A full driving licence and willingness to travel.

Skills and attributes

  • Enthusiastic, flexible, and self‑motivated.
  • Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
  • Ability to support vulnerable customers with empathy.
  • Strong time‑management and prioritisation skills.
  • Confident presenting to different audiences.
  • Passionate about helping people and improving customer outcomes.

You will also need to:

  • Be willing to take a storm role during peak periods.
  • Travel across licence areas, including overnight stays when required.
  • Support occasional weekend events.
  • Manage your workload proactively and identify improvements.
  • Maintain action trackers and produce presentations confidently.
