
We are seeking applicants for the position of Social Media Student Assistant in Administrative Services and Special Collections at the Kelvin Smith Library.
We are looking for an undergraduate student who can work 10 hours per week during our office hours, Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., for the duration of the 2026-2027 academic year.
This position will mainly involve work on library social media marketing projects, such as creating, planning, and assisting library staff with video and image content for social media. Students in this role will be responsible for knowing and advising on CWRU student social media habits and trends through their own observations and personal perspectives. Applicants who are comfortable appearing in social media content are preferred. This role also works with Special Collections, collaborating on highlighting collection items for social media content and other related tasks.
The position may also support the Library Administration and Special Collections staff with general administrative office duties as needed, including: answering phones, copying, data entry, filing, greeting visitors, organizing, preparing mailings, reserving rooms, taking messages, and other duties as assigned, as well as accurate list making, data entry, quality assurance/proofreading, and physical organization of Special Collections materials. Some tasks involve physical work including running campus errands, posting flyers, and assisting with various events and special projects (room setups and cleanups, sign posting and removal, other event tasks).
$13.81 per hour.
