Job Posting Description

The Social Media Specialist (Trust) will execute social media strategies to increase brand awareness, engage donors and donor prospects, and to achieve the organization’s objectives. They will work closely with a wide variety of stakeholders to create plans, with a focus on ROI, that drive event registration and donations. Candidates for this role should be passionate about social media and knowledgeable about current and emerging trends within the non-profit and consumer marketplace. They should be able to collaborate with copywriters, designers, and video editors to produce outstanding creative work. This role requires 2 days in-person in Boston, MA and the other days are remote.

Key Responsibilities: 1. Develop and implement social media plans to achieve the Trust’s goals and objectives with guidance from the director of donor channels.
2. Share best practices and provide guidance to stakeholders across the organization, helping them
understand how social media might support their goals.
3. Plan and schedule social media posts, ensuring consistent messaging, branding, and alignment
with the Hospital’s standards and guidelines.
4. Work closely with the creative team, providing strategic plans, data analytics, and creative briefs
for the creative team to use for content creation.
5. Create and curate engaging content for social media platforms when needed for event day
coverage, immediate needs, or to quickly address an urgent need.
6. Partner with communications team colleagues to develop integrated promotions and campaigns
utilizing social media channels and paid social tools.
7. In collaboration with the Senior Social Media Specialist, monitor social metrics and regularly
reports on progress. Report on performance with an eye toward identifying trends and
opportunities to improve performance.
8. Monitor Trust specific posts and respond to comments, messages and mentions as needed.
Escalate sensitive issues when required.

Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree required
Experience: 2+ years professional experience in social media
