Reports to: Social Media Manager
Come grow with us!
Working at ViewSonic is a unique opportunity to do rewarding, meaningful, high-visibility work for a global leader in visual technology. At ViewSonic, we are celebrating over 3 decades of excellence, carrying on the same entrepreneurial spirit and innovation we’ve had since 1987. Our brand and products are well-known throughout the industry. As a result, we are growing quickly and are looking for energetic, motivated team members to expand our nest.
Your Role and Impact
The Social Media Specialist plays a key role in growing ViewSonic’s social media presence through social-first content development, publishing, community engagement, creator partnerships, real-time marketing, and performance analysis. Working across corporate, commercial, education, and consumer initiatives, this role partners closely with the Social Media Manager, internal marketing teams, and regional and global stakeholders to translate campaigns, product stories, events, customer successes, and industry trends into compelling social content. The ideal candidate combines strong creative instincts with analytical thinking and understands how to develop content specifically for social audiences rather than simply adapting traditional marketing materials. This individual should be an excellent writer, a proactive collaborator, and someone who can move comfortably from content ideation to execution to performance recommendations. This role will have a particular emphasis on social content development and audience growth, while also supporting broader channel operations and community engagement as part of a collaborative social media team.
Day to Day Responsibilities
- Develop social-first content concepts aligned with ViewSonic campaigns, products, customer stories, events, partnerships, and relevant cultural or industry moments.
- Write and develop compelling social copy, creative briefs, and content concepts for formats including static posts, carousels, short-form video, interviews, product demonstrations, and event content.
- Support the Social Media Manager in executing the social editorial strategy and translating broader marketing priorities into platform-appropriate content.
- Own assigned social campaigns, content programs, and initiatives from concept development through publishing, optimization, and performance analysis.
- Maintain a strong understanding of LinkedIn and other major social platforms, adapting content based on audience behavior, platform best practices, and emerging formats.
- Help develop and expand ViewSonic’s short-form video presence across platforms such as YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and other relevant channels.
- Collaborate with creative teams, product marketing, vertical marketing, public relations, digital marketing, and other stakeholders to identify and develop strong social storytelling opportunities.
- Support creator and influencer marketing programs, including creator identification, outreach, campaign coordination, content review, activation, and performance reporting.
- Participate in live and real-time social coverage of trade shows, events, product launches, customer activations, and other relevant moments.
- Monitor social conversations, audience sentiment, competitor activity, platform trends, and relevant industry discussions to identify content, engagement, and real-time marketing opportunities.
- Support community engagement by responding to comments, mentions, tags, and relevant conversations in a timely and brand-appropriate manner.
- Surface meaningful customer, community, and industry feedback to the appropriate internal stakeholders.
- Analyze channel, campaign, and content performance to identify what is driving changes in reach, engagement, audience behavior, and other relevant business outcomes.
- Translate social performance data into specific recommendations for future content, campaigns, formats, and platform activity.
- Identify opportunities to test new content formats, creative approaches, platform capabilities, and social media tactics.
- Partner with the Advertising team on paid-social amplification, creative testing, campaign learnings, and opportunities to extend high-performing organic content.
- Maintain organized publishing workflows, documentation, campaign assets, and editorial calendars in partnership with the broader social media team.
- Collaborate with regional and global marketing teams to adapt campaigns and content for social audiences while maintaining consistency with ViewSonic’s brand and strategic priorities.
- Attend periodic evening meetings with ViewSonic’s global marketing team in Taipei as business needs require.
