Job Description

Tektronix is seeking a Social Media Specialist to elevate how our brand shows up across global digital channels.

This role sits at the center of our social media operations—balancing execution, coordination, and continuous improvement. You will help manage and optimize our presence across platforms such as LinkedIn, X, YouTube, and regionally relevant channels including WeChat, Xing, and TikTok.

This is more than a publishing role. You will ensure content is accurate, consistent, and aligned to brand standards and business priorities, while helping keep our social processes running smoothly. Over time, you’ll bring forward ideas and insights to enhance performance and strengthen our digital presence.

You’ll partner cross-functionally with marketing, product teams, and regional stakeholders to support a cohesive global voice. This role offers strong exposure to how a global, technology-driven company operates—and a clear path to grow into more strategic marketing responsibilities.

We are looking for someone who is genuinely curious and engaged in the social media space—someone who studies how brands show up online, understands what resonates, and takes pride in getting the details right.

If you thrive in a fast-moving environment, enjoy bringing structure to complexity, and are motivated to continuously improve how things are done, this role offers an opportunity to make meaningful impact from day one.

Responsibilities/ What you’ll do:

Support how we show up

  • Help ensure content is consistent and aligned across platforms and regions
  • Review and quality check posts for clarity, tone, and audience relevance
  • Partner with internal teams to gather inputs and ensure content is ready to go

Run the day-to-day social engine

  • Manage the publishing calendar
  • Coordinate with global marketing, regional teams, digital, PR, corporate communications, and product marketing to hit deadlines
  • Support and maintain workflows, templates, and simple playbooks that keep execution smooth
  • Help prepare for and support recurring team meetings that align priorities and activations

Support real-time and reactive efforts

  • Monitor social and surface relevant moments, trends, or conversations
  • Support responses in coordination with Corporate Communications
  • Help ensure we are timely, thoughtful, and aligned in how we engage

Learn and contribute to better social practices

  • Stay up to date on platform trends, formats, and best practices
  • Bring forward ideas to improve content and processes over time
  • Contribute to building stronger, more effective social media habits across the team

Measure and improve

  • Track performance and turn data into clear, simple insights
  • Identify what’s working and support the team’s efforts to improve results over time
  • Package performance insights into visual quarterly reports

What success looks like

  • Content is consistent, on time, and aligned to priorities

  • Social channels look and feel more organized and unified

  • Content is clear, accurate, and appropriate for our audiences

  • Cross-team coordination is smooth, with few last-minute issues

  • Reporting is consistent and helps inform better decisions

  • You begin to identify opportunities to improve how we work and what we publish

Qualifications/ What you'll need:

  • 2-4 years of experience in social media (B2B or technical experience is a plus)

  • Familiarity with tools like Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or similar platforms, as well as basic video and graphic editing

  • Ability to recognize strong vs. weak social content and explain why

  • An ability to manage multiple inputs, stay organized and detailed in a fast-moving environment

  • A bias toward action—you don’t want to be told, you follow through

  • Genuine curiosity about social and desire to keep learning and improving

  • Comfort working across teams
