Are you ready for a sneak-peek in the day of a Social Media Specialist in Netcompany?

As a Social Media Specialist you will:

  • Draft, finalise, approve, and publish platform-specific content across X/Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Threads, Facebook, and other social media channels.
  • Create engaging visuals and on-brand content using templates, layouts, and social media design tools.
  • Shoot and edit short-form videos for reels, stories, and social campaigns using mobile-first content creation techniques.
  • Develop creative ideas for content formats, storytelling approaches, campaigns, and audience engagement initiatives.
  • Adapt institutional priorities and key messages into clear, engaging, and audience-focused social media content.
  • Collaborate with media, editorial, audio-visual, and design teams to validate information and secure required approvals.
  • Support community management activities by monitoring engagement, responding to comments, and identifying issues requiring escalation.
  • Track and analyse social media performance metrics including reach, engagement, retention, clicks, and audience trends to support continuous improvement.

Qualifications

What would make you a fit for the role:

  • University degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Media, or a related field.
  • Professional experience in social media content production and platform management.
  • Strong copywriting and storytelling skills, with experience creating engaging content for institutional or corporate audiences.
  • Good understanding of social media trends, platform best practices, analytics, and audience engagement strategies.
  • Ability to create visual and video content, including shooting and editing short-form videos on mobile devices.
  • Experience working with platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, X/Twitter, Bluesky, and other social media channels; experience with social media advertising is considered an asset.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure while maintaining awareness of reputational considerations.
  • Full working proficiency in English (minimum C1 level or equivalent), with excellent written communication skills and the ability to simplify complex topics into clear and engaging messages.
