Social Research: An International Quarterly, an academic journal based at the New School for Social Research, is seeking an advanced undergraduate student or graduate student to fill an hourly part-time (up to 10 hrs/week) position running the journal’s social media and helping with publicity and marketing efforts. Start date is as soon as possible, with expectation to commit to the position through Academic Year 2026/27 and preferably longer. This position comes with room for growth and career mentorship to learn about and gain experience in marketing & publicity, editorial management, and
journal production. The position reports to the journal’s managing editor.
Hybrid - Employees hired for this position primarily work remotely with the
occasional on-campus presence required with advanced notice. Employees in
this role will also be expected to use their best judgment to be on campus when necessary in order to best fulfill the responsibilities of their job descriptions. #LI-DNI
RATE: $20/hr

publicity assistant develops and implements social media strategy for the journal and assists with other publicity efforts.
