Job Description

Based in Manchester, this full-time permanent role will help shape the voice and reach of Manchester City across our social channels. You will create engaging content, support live match coverage and use insights to help grow and connect with a global fanbase.

Within our Content Media team, we create and deliver compelling stories that connect with Fans around the world. Our social media producers work collaboratively across the department to produce distinctive, timely and high-quality content that reflects the Club's identity and keeps our audience engaged every day.

The Role

You will play a central part in producing social content that is creative, timely and relevant across Manchester City’s key social channels. From planning ideas to capturing moments and shaping them into platform-ready posts, you will help ensure our output feels fresh, distinctive and aligned to the Club’s voice.

Day to day, you will support live match coverage, write engaging copy, cut and edit short-form video and photo content, and adapt ideas for different audiences and formats. You will also track performance, spot trends and use data to help inform what we create next.

Working closely with colleagues across Content Media and wider stakeholders, you will turn briefs into well-executed content that meets high editorial standards and supports broader brand and commercial goals. The role suits someone who enjoys collaborating, bringing ideas to life and contributing to a busy creative environment.

What You’ll Bring

Experience creating, editing and publishing social content across multiple major platforms.

Ability to write clear, engaging social copy and adapt tone for different audiences and formats.

Video and photo editing skills, including short-form and vertical content.

Experience using social analytics to assess performance and inform future content.

Excellent editorial judgement, attention to detail and awareness of media law and publishing standards.

A good understanding of football culture, with the ability to work collaboratively and support live publishing in real time.
