  • As an experienced social media specialist at News Corp, you’ll know how to follow the insights and analytics to expose our journalism to huge audiences; and then engage them through sharp writing and dynamic visual storytelling.

  • Working alongside Digital Producers who manage On Platform news content, you’ll be authoring, planning, producing, publishing and distributing content across social media channels to engage with and grow our audience and, ultimately, our subscriber base.

  • This is a vital part of our digital media strategy and key to driving a sustainable and growing audience - now and in the future.

  • This is a hands-on role unsuitable for an entry-level candidate, the Social Media Producer needs to be a social media native, capable of delivering world-class social media content and using constantly evolving best-practice techniques.

  • Foster new and existing communities inside each social platform.

Who are you?

  • You bring 3+ years’ experience in social media production, ideally within a news environment, and have a strong instinct for what engages audiences.

  • You live and breathe social platforms, constantly monitoring trends and analysing performance to optimise content.

  • Skilled in shooting, editing and producing video and audio content across platforms.

  • A sharp writer with strong news judgment, creating compelling content using tools like Adobe Suite and Canva, and identifying and solving engagement challenges.

  • Passionate about connecting with audiences and growing reach through standout, relevant content.

  • Highly organised and collaborative, working across all levels of the newsroom and thriving in a fast-paced, always-on environment while supporting your team.

What’s in it for you?

  • Attractive remuneration package

  • An opportunity to innovate, challenge the norm and pioneer the way forward

  • A truly collaborative environment
