Social Media & Marketing Intern

The Social Media & Marketing Intern will play a hands-on role in growing Kidcreate Studio’s online presence and brand awareness. This intern will be on the ground at our studio locations, capturing real classroom moments, creating engaging short-form content, and helping build a robust content library for use across our social media channels. The role also includes light administrative support to help our team run smoothly.

Compensation
While this is an unpaid internship, we view it as a launching pad. High-performing interns will be considered for paid positions as opportunities arise within our growing team.

Education Requirements
Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Graphic Design, or a related field.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Photography — ability to capture high-quality photos in dynamic, real-world environments
• Video recording — comfortable shooting short-form video (Reels, TikTok-style content, classroom walkthroughs)
• Video editing — proficient in editing and assembling footage into polished, on-brand content
• Canva — skilled in designing graphics, social posts, stories, and marketing materials
• Google Workspace — proficient in Docs, Sheets, Drive, and Gmail
• Strong eye for aesthetics, storytelling, and social media trends
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects at once
• Enthusiastic, reliable, and a self-starter

Other Requirements

• Must pass a criminal background study
• Available 20–30 hours per week for the duration of the 10–12 week internship

Primary Responsibilities

Content Creation & Social Media

• Visit Kidcreate Studio locations to photograph and record live classroom activities and student experiences
• Create engaging short-form video content, including Instagram/Facebook Reels and TikTok-style videos
• Edit and produce polished video and photo content that aligns with brand standards
• Design graphics, story templates, and marketing assets using Canva
• Post and schedule content across social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.)
• Monitor social media engagement and assist with community management (responding to comments/messages)

Content Library

• Work with the marketing team to build and maintain an organized content reference library
• Tag, categorize, and store photos, videos, and graphics in Brandfolder for easy team access
• Help develop content templates and style guides for consistent brand use

Marketing Support

• Assist in coordinating broader marketing efforts, including email campaigns, print ads, direct mail, and networking events
• Track and report on social media metrics and content performance

Administrative Support

• Assist with general office tasks and day-to-day administrative needs
