We are seeking a Social Media Specialist to own inVision U's social media presence across all platforms, translating the university's academic programs, culture, and events into compelling content that resonates with prospective students, parents, and the broader education community. The role combines editorial thinking with hands-on SMM execution, creative production coordination, and PR support, and is critical to building the university's digital brand ahead of and following the first cohort launch.

1. Content Strategy & Editorial Execution
  • Develop and maintain the content plan across Instagram, Telegram, TikTok, and YouTube.
  • Translate complex information about academic programs, pedagogy, and university life into engaging social formats.
  • Ensure all content aligns with the university's tone of voice, USPs, and messaging guidelines.
2. Social Media Management
  • Create, schedule, and publish posts; manage event calendars and announcements (internal digests, RSVP events, pre-launch campaigns).
  • Build funnels, UGC campaigns, and news hooks.
  • Produce template-level visual content in Figma.
3. Creative Production Coordination
  • Act as creative producer for outsourced video content.
  • Define formats, draft scenarios (with the copywriter), brief production teams, and manage approvals.
  • Maintain the media bank (photos, videos, assets).
4. PR Coordination
  • Coordinate collaborative posts, influencer partnerships, and media activities.
  • Liaise with the inDrive PR team on joint tasks.
  • Define briefs and quality-control external outputs for tone and messaging consistency.
5. Student Content Coordination
  • Manage student contributors who help produce content.
  • Assign tasks, review outputs, and maintain quality standards.
6. Analytics & Reporting
  • Track content performance using analytics tools (Looker Studio, native platform analytics, or equivalent).
  • Analyze engagement data, identify high-performing formats, and adjust content strategy accordingly.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise


Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related field; relevant digital marketing/SMM certifications are a plus.
  • 2–4 years of experience in social media management, content marketing, or digital communications; experience in education, EdTech, or mission-driven organizations is a plus.
  • Experience coordinating freelancers, student teams, or external contractors is preferred.
  • Expertise in social media platforms (Instagram, Telegram, TikTok, YouTube); content planning and editorial calendar management.
  • Basic design skills (Figma, Canva); experience briefing and coordinating video production.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools (Looker Studio, Google Analytics, or native platform insights).
  • Copywriting and storytelling skills in Russian and English.
  • Familiarity with funnel building, UGC strategies, and news hooks; media bank and asset management experience.
  • Strong editorial judgment and ability to work with complex information.
  • Ownership mentality and self-organization.
  • Clear written and verbal communication in Russian and English (Kazakh is a plus).
  • Coordination skills across multiple stakeholders (production teams, PR, students, copywriter).
  • Attention to detail and quality standards; proactive problem-solving.
  • Cultural sensitivity and understanding of the Central Asian youth audience.
Nice to Have
  • Understanding of content marketing principles and social media algorithms.
  • Knowledge of the Central Asian digital media landscape.
  • Familiarity with higher education or EdTech sector communications.
  • Awareness of current trends in short-form video, Telegram channel management, and youth-oriented content formats.
