Her PLAN seeks an energetic and creative Social Media Manager with a passion for driving digital strategy to inspire pro-life Americans to help moms and their children. This position will be located in Her PLAN’s Arlington, Virginia headquarters. In this role, you create content and optimize digital channels to amplify Her PLAN’s work to increase access to resources that empower women to sustain their choice for life.

The strength of the pro-life safety net is assessed through the lens of resources available in each of seven categories of care (see below). Using social media, you will mobilize Her PLAN’s digital audiences to take action in their local communities to serve pregnant and parenting women and help meet these needs through Her PLAN’s Pathways platform.

3. Finances, work, and education
4. Material or legal support?
5. Recovery and mental health?
6. Prenatal diagnosis?
7. Care for children?

The Her PLAN Social Media Manager is responsible for content creation, day-to-day management of Her PLAN’s organic and paid social media channels, and supporting various rapid response, design, and digital communications needs for the Her PLAN team. This position develops and manages the Her PLAN photo and video asset library and is focused on growing Her PLAN’s following, engagement, and brand recognition via social media. The Her PLAN Social Media Manager will develop and implement a strategic social media and digital content plan with the oversight of the Marketing & Communications Director and in collaboration with the SBA Pro-Life America Communications Team.

This is a full-time in office position. The Her PLAN Social Media Manager reports to the Her PLAN Marketing & Communications Director.

Essential Functions

• Create content to showcase Her PLAN’s work to connect and grow the pro-life safety net in local communities across the country
• Optimize Her PLAN’s social media pages and digital presence across paid and organic channels to maximize engagement and reach
• Film, edit, and package video content showcasing Her PLAN staff and programs and serve as a spokesperson for Her PLAN on social media as needed
• Manage influencer relationships and implement Her PLAN’s influencer marketing strategy
• Provide regular reporting and analysis on Her PLAN’s social media performance across channels and leverage findings to optimize performance
• Create digital assets and fulfill design needs for Her PLAN staff and maintain Her PLAN’s photo and video asset library
• Manage some vendor relationships and branded materials designs
• Support the Marketing & Communications Director on other digital, design, and social media projects as needed

Competencies

• Communicate with precision at an advanced level, in-person, oral, and written.
• Create polished and professional graphic designs and video content consistent with Her PLAN’s brand.
• Manage time and task completion effectively.
• Must be pro-life.

• Minimum 3-5 years social media, marketing, or communications experience.
• A keen understanding of social media and how to leverage a variety of channels and platforms to maximize engagement.
• Proficiency with Sprout, Meta Business Suite, Adobe Suite, and social media channels and platforms.
• Basic video editing skills.
• A self-starter with a high degree of professionalism and the ability to meet deadlines, manage a monthly strategic content calendar, and maintain a digital asset library.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Must have strong discernment and written and verbal communication skills.
• Must possess a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This position is in office at the Arlington, VA headquarters.

Physical Demands

Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodations.

Work is generally done sitting, talking, hearing, and typing.

May be required to lift objects up to 20 lbs.

Position Type/Expected Hours?

This position is a full-time remote position. Hours of the work are 8:30-5:30 with some flexibility. Some weekend and evening work may be required.

Travel

Frequent travel is required in this role. The Social Media Manager should be willing to travel to Her PLAN events as needed.
