The Integrated Marketing and Digital Strategy team leads marketing, digital strategy, social media channel management, and content development for government priorities and public information campaigns. We create content that helps Nova Scotians find, understand, and engage with information across digital channels.
We are looking for a social media intern to join the team and bring creativity, strong writing, and an interest in digital marketing, content creation, and public service. This is a great opportunity to build practical experience while contributing to meaningful public-facing work.
As a social media intern with the Executive Council Office’s Integrated Marketing and Digital Strategy team, you will gain hands-on experience creating digital content and supporting public-facing channels. You will help develop and adapt content for social media, support day-to-day channel activities, and contribute to marketing work that helps government connect with Nova Scotians in clear and engaging ways. You may also support monthly newsletters and video projects as part of broader content planning and campaign work.
This role is with the Executive Council Office’s Integrated Marketing and Digital Strategy team.
As a social media intern, you will work with marketing and digital content professionals to support content creation and channel activities. This includes drafting and adapting content for social media platforms, helping plan content calendars, scheduling posts, monitoring channels, helping track basic performance metrics, and supporting public-facing accounts. You may also help draft or format content for monthly newsletters and support video projects through coordination, content preparation, and related production tasks.
You will also build experience in a fast-paced digital environment by supporting content planning, approvals, and publishing workflows. This may include organizing content needs, coordinating with partners, helping maintain a consistent channel presence, and sharing ideas for campaigns and public engagement.
The successful candidate will have the following mandatory qualifications:
Experience with social media platforms, digital tools, analytics, newsletters, or video projects, previous government experience, and French language skills would be considered assets.

Salary Range:$2,167.52 - $2,268.36 Bi-Weekly
