What is the role?
We're looking for a creative, passionate and proactive Social Media Executive to bring our work to life through engaging digital content and storytelling. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and develop our social media presence, creating content that inspires audiences, showcases the impact of our work and helps grow awareness and support for Saints Foundation.
Based at St Mary's Stadium, you'll spend much of your time out in local communities, capturing powerful stories, photography and video content from our projects, participants, staff, players, ambassadors and supporters.
What will you be doing?
You'll lead the day-to-day management of Saints Foundation's social media channels, creating and delivering engaging content across a range of platforms. Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you'll visit projects, events and campaigns to capture high-quality photography, video and written content that showcases the difference our work makes. You'll use audience insights, platform analytics and performance data to continuously improve content, grow engagement and maximise reach.
The role will involve building strong relationships with delivery teams to uncover and share impactful stories, working alongside fundraising and marketing colleagues to support campaigns and appeals, and identifying creative opportunities to engage new and existing audiences. You'll also support Foundation events and matchday activity, while helping maximise opportunities to feature Southampton FC players, ambassadors and staff in our content.
Is this you?
We're looking for someone who is:
Creative, enthusiastic and passionate about storytelling and content creation.
Experienced in managing social media channels for an organisation, charity, brand or sports organisation.
Skilled in creating engaging content across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and TikTok.
Confident capturing and producing high quality photo and video content.
Able to use analytics and performance data to evaluate content and improve results.
Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
A strong communicator who can build positive relationships with colleagues, participants and stakeholders.
