Job Description
Cityfurnish is India’s leading subscription-based furniture and appliance rental platform, backed by Y Combinator and Brand Capital. Operating across 7 cities, we make high-quality living accessible to students, families, and corporates through a Netflix-style pay-to-use model. We’re a fast-growing startup that values ownership, speed, and creative problem-solving.
Job Overview
We don't need someone who just manages social media. We need someone who can make people stop scrolling. You'll own how Cityfurnish looks, sounds and behaves on the internet. That means coming up with the ideas, making the content, spotting trends early and turning them into brand moments before everyone else does.
What you'll actually do
- Plan, shoot and edit video. Create short-form and long-form videos for Instagram Reels, YouTube and social media ads. Brainstorm and script the ideas yourself, edit in tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or CapCut, and use AI tools wherever they help you move faster.
- Tell visual stories. Turn marketing concepts into engaging narratives, whether it's lifestyle content, product highlights or behind-the-scenes stories.
- Ride trends early. Spot formats, sounds and memes as they emerge and turn them into relevant, on-brand content within hours, not weeks.
- Run our channels day to day. Instagram first, plus YouTube, LinkedIn and whichever platform comes next. Plan the content calendar, schedule and publish posts, engage with the community and keep the brand voice sharp.
- Run influencer collaborations and marketing. Find, shortlist, brief and manage creators and influencers, coordinate collaborations end to end, and turn their content into campaigns that reach the right audience. Step in front of the camera yourself when an idea needs a face.
- Analyze content performance. Track reach, engagement, saves, shares, watch time and follower growth for every post, Reel and influencer campaign. Work out what worked and why, turn those insights into what we make next, and share a regular performance report with the team.
- Work closely with the marketing team. Align visuals and videos with brand tone and campaign goals, and build and maintain a content library of footage, templates and brand assets.
- Experiment constantly. Test new formats and hooks, read the numbers, drop what flops and double down on what works.
What we're looking for
- Social-native instincts. You live on Instagram and Reels, you understand memes, audio and viral formats, and you know why some content travels and some doesn't.
- A maker mindset. You love creating content, not just consuming it. You're comfortable scripting, shooting and editing. Tools like Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, Canva or the Adobe suite are familiar territory.
- Initiative and ownership. You make things happen without waiting for a brief, and you take responsibility for the results.
- Creativity with range. You're resourceful, experimental and unafraid to try something unconventional, while still keeping it relevant to the brand.
- Startup pace. You're comfortable with speed, changing priorities and doing a lot with limited resources.
Strong plus (not a must)
- You have your own Instagram page, YouTube channel, meme page, personal brand or other content project. You're comfortable being on camera.
- You've worked with creators or influencers.
- You use AI tools and editing apps to generate ideas and produce content quickly.
What you'll get
- Real ownership of a brand's voice and content.
- Creative freedom to experiment, and fast decisions on what to try.
- A chance to build something and leave your mark.
