Job Description

So, what are the main responsibilities of a Social Media Engagement Specialist in Netcompany?

As a Social Media Engagement Specialist, you will:

  • Create, schedule, and publish engaging daily social media content in collaboration with multiple internal departments and stakeholders.
  • Build, maintain, and expand distribution networks across social media platforms to maximise audience reach and engagement.
  • Manage online communities by monitoring conversations, responding to interactions, and fostering meaningful engagement with audiences.
  • Identify opportunities within user-generated content related to the organisation's brand, activities, and campaigns, and share relevant insights with internal stakeholders.
  • Gather, analyse, and interpret social media performance data using analytics and listening tools to generate actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Monitor social media trends, emerging topics, and audience behaviour to support the continuous optimisation of engagement strategies.
  • Track and assess the activities of third parties, including content creators, influencers, opinion leaders, and relevant online communities.
  • Identify engagement and partnership opportunities with content creators and influencers, establish relationships, and actively engage with them on a daily basis.

Qualifications

What would make you a fit for the role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, Marketing, Digital Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in social media management, community management, digital communications, influencer engagement, content creation, or a related field.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Proven experience creating engaging content for social media platforms and managing online communities.
  • Strong understanding of social media ecosystems, audience engagement strategies, and digital communication best practices.
  • Experience using social media management, analytics, listening, and reporting tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse social media data and translate findings into actionable recommendations and engagement strategies.
  • Strong organisational, stakeholder management, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.

It would also be a plus if you match some of the following:

  • Experience working with EU institutions, international organisations, NGOs, or public sector organisations.
  • Experience engaging with influencers, content creators, or digital advocacy networks.
  • Experience with tools such as Brandwatch, Meltwater, Sprinklr, Talkwalker, Hootsuite, or Sprout Social.
