Job Description

Blackstone is the world’s largest alternative asset manager. We seek to create positive economic impact and long-term value for our investors, the companies we invest in, and the communities in which we work. We do this by using extraordinary people and flexible capital to help companies solve problems. Our $1.1 trillion in assets under management include investment vehicles focused on private equity, real estate, public debt and equity, infrastructure, life sciences, growth equity, opportunistic, non-investment grade credit, real assets and secondary funds, all on a global basis. Blackstone is seeking a standout storyteller to bring its global brand to life across social platforms. This highly visible role will craft and refine platform-native copy across formats — from daily posts and campaign assets to executive messaging and video scripts — turning firm priorities and complex investment topics into clear, compelling narrative for our target audiences.

This role will bring strong editorial judgment — shaping concepts and protecting tone of voice — while partnering closely with designers, producers, video editors, channel marketers, and legal and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop distinctive ideas that make complex topics accessible for different audiences.
  • Translate firm, business, and asset class objectives and messaging into clear concepts, narratives, and social content assets.
  • Proactively identify opportunities across the Corporate Affairs team, including media appearances, live events, webinars, branded content, and translate into social-first content that is relevant, credible, and additive to Blackstone’s brand
  • Review interviews and long-form videos to spot high-potential moments, then shape them into scalable social formats aligned to our platform objectives.
  • Draft social copy for multiple formats (e.g., short-form and long-form video, graphics, articles, newsletters) on social media platforms, ensuring all copy aligns with brand guidelines, tone of voice, and messaging strategy
  • Write and edit social copy for executives and employees to amplify private wealth messaging, ensuring alignment with corporate channel strategy and tone of voice.
  • Help shape creative briefs that set a strong, inspiring starting point for conceptual development.
  • Partner with marketing teams including designers, producers, video editors, and channel marketers to bring integrated campaigns to life.
  • Partner with stakeholders in Marketing, Public Affairs, Legal and Compliance, to ensure social content aligns with firmwide brand and business objectives and complies with industry regulations.
  • Use generative AI to accelerate ideation, drafting, and versioning of content.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years professional experience in writing, editing, and content creation for digital platforms.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills by simplifying complex investment concepts.
  • Strong knowledge of financial services, alternative investments and wealth management.
  • Experience writing for institutional or high-net-worth audiences is preferred.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills; executing feedback given.
  • Demonstrated working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities; and working collaboratively on a team.
  • Experience optimizing content for search discoverability, i.e. SEO/GEO
  • Fluent in AI-assisted content workflows (e.g., prompt writing and rapid iteration)
  • Writing sample required.
