Immediate is home to some of the biggest and most loved consumer brands in the UK, including Radio Times, Good Food and BBC Gardeners World magazine. Our trusted, quality content reaches millions of people a month across digital, print, video, podcasts, apps and live events.

We’re the destination for people looking to get more from the things they love. We’re here to inspire, fuel, encourage and educate.

Whether it’s the big things, or the little things; from reaching fitness goals to savouring good food, cultivating outdoor spaces, or enjoying the latest TV sensation – we help bring our audiences joy!

About the role

The Social Content & Audience Executive is responsible for creating, planning and publishing social-first content across MadeForMums’ channels, with a particular focus on original short-form video, audience growth, community participation and consistent weekly output.

This is a hands-on content role for someone who combines strong creative instincts with the confidence to take ownership of a brand’s social output. You will develop ideas, script, film, edit and publish content yourself, while also shaping the wider content mix based on platform trends, audience insight and performance.

The role sits at the intersection of content creation, social media, audience development and community. It turns MadeForMums’ expertise, editorial content, parent community and audience insight into distinctive, platform-appropriate social content that is useful, engaging and recognisably MadeForMums.

As a Social Media & Audience Engagement Executive you will;

  • Be confident filming and editing short-form video using Adobe Premiere Pro, creating graphics and static content in Canva, and appearing on camera where appropriate.
  • Develop MadeForMums’ network of parent contributors and supports audience recruitment and social promotion for key brand initiatives, including the MadeForMums Awards, product testing programmes and impact-led campaigns.
  • This role could be particularly well suited to someone from an agency, publisher or fast-paced brand social background, who is used to juggling multiple content streams, turning ideas around quickly and creating content hands-on
  • Lead the creation of a consistent weekly pipeline of original social-first content across MadeForMums’ channels.
  • Develop social content from initial idea through to publication, including concepts, hooks, scripts, filming, editing, graphics, captions and platform-specific execution.
  • Film and edit polished short-form vertical video using Adobe Premiere Pro and create engaging static and graphic content using Canva.
  • Develop recurring social formats and franchises that can build recognition, engagement and repeat viewing over time.
  • Be confident appearing on camera where appropriate, whether presenting content, conducting interviews, supporting filming or contributing to editorial and branded formats.
  • Turn MadeForMums expertise, editorial stories, audience conversations and contributor experiences into content designed specifically for social platforms.
  • Edit and shape contributor and footage into clear, engaging and on-brand social content.
  • Balance planned and batched production with reactive opportunities, trends and timely parenting conversations.
  • Maintain consistently high standards of storytelling, accuracy, brand tone and production quality across output.
  • Plan and publish content across MadeForMums’ social channels, ensuring a consistent and appropriate mix of formats and subjects.
  • Use platform trends, audience behaviour and performance data to identify opportunities for new content, formats and approaches.
  • Understand what drives reach, engagement, shares, saves, conversation and other relevant audience behaviours, and use those insights to shape future output.
  • Regularly review content performance and use the findings to refine creative approaches, format mix, publishing priorities and channel strategy.
  • Use comments, questions, reactions and audience conversations as a source of content ideas and audience insight.
  • Support scheduling, publishing and channel management workflows to ensure content is delivered consistently and effectively.
  • Maintain a warm, inclusive and trusted MadeForMums voice across social channels and audience interactions.
  • Source, recruit and coordinate parent contributors for social content, video, campaigns, product testing and selected editorial opportunities.
  • Grow the use of authentic parent voices across MadeForMums’ social output, particularly through recurring contributors and video-led formats.
  • Develop clear and accessible briefs that help non-professional contributors capture strong, usable social content.
  • Support contributors with guidance on filming, framing, storytelling and delivery, providing constructive feedback where required.
  • Review, edit and shape submitted UGC into engaging, platform-appropriate MadeForMums content.
  • Develop audience call-outs, prompts and participation opportunities that encourage parents to contribute their experiences, opinions and content.
  • Use contributor relationships and community insight to help ensure MadeForMums represents a broad and inclusive range of parenting experiences.
  • Maintain accurate contributor records and ensure all activity follows GDPR, permissions and internal data-handling processes.
  • Work closely with Editorial, Brand Marketing, central social, Commercial, Sales and Partnerships teams to develop social content that supports shared priorities while remaining relevant and engaging for the MadeForMums audience.
  • Lead the social promotion and audience recruitment elements of key MadeForMums initiatives, including Awards, product testing programmes and impact-led campaigns.
  • Translate wider editorial, commercial and brand priorities into ideas and formats that work effectively on social platforms.
  • Provide clear social expertise and audience insight to colleagues, helping teams understand how ideas can be adapted for different platforms and audiences.
  • Coordinate timelines, assets, approvals and publishing requirements across stakeholders to ensure campaigns are delivered effectively.
  • Maintain clear content trackers, forward plans and production workflows using tools such as Monday.com and Sprout Social, shared drives and planning documents.
  • Share relevant performace and audience insights with internal teams to help inform future content and campaign planning.

Requirements

  • Experience creating social-first content, including filming and editing short-form video, with confidence using Adobe Premiere Pro and Canva to produce polished, platform-appropriate content across formats.

  • Experience planning and delivering recurring social output across a mix of formats — video, static and contributor-led content.
  • Experience sourcing, coordinating and briefing contributors, creators or UGC talent, helping non-professionals capture usable content.
  • Excellent written communication, with a warm, clear and audience-aware tone of voice.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple content streams, contributors and deadlines at once.
  • A collaborative approach, with confidence working across editorial, social, video, commercial and marketing teams.
  • Experience using planning and tracking tools such as Monday.com, Airtable or similar.
  • A clear understanding of the value of representation and inclusive audience-building.
  • Experience managing social communities, online audiences or contributor networks.
