Job Description

We have an opportunity available for a Social Inclusion Worker to join our Lancashire Supported Living Rehabilitation Service, Inspiring Minds, based in Burnley, BB11 1UG.

The service contains 9 beds and will provide intermediate short term functional rehabilitation support to adults with mental health needs, learning disabilities and individuals on the autistic spectrum and is designed to be a personalised, interactive and collaborative process, reflecting the whole person. The service enables individuals to maximise their potential to live a full and active life within their family, social networks, education/training and the workplace where appropriate, in the context of their mental health and promote recovery.

Salary: £13.12 per hour

Hours: 28 per week working various shifts between 8am-9pm including some weekends

Responsibilities

As a Social Inclusion Worker, your role involves planning and organising a variety of activities to support the well-being of adults in our care. You will encourage and support residents to participate in individual and group events and regularly review and adapt activities to meet their changing needs.

Additionally, you will coordinate logistics, manage resources, and ensure activities run smoothly and safely. The role may include lone working and 1-1 support in the community.

Qualifications

Candidates must have an NVQ Level II (or equivalent) in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards this.

We are looking for individuals who have experience of running activities and therapeutic techniques and ideally have some experience of working with mental health.

On joining Making Space you will be supported step by step with on-the-job training as well as the opportunity to undertake professional qualifications if desired and required for your role. We are seeking individuals who can showcase that their personal values align ours here at Making Space.
