  Assist with the planning, coordination, and implementation of programme activities for older people.

  Maintain accurate, up-to-date records and administrative systems relevant to the department.
• 
  Support the planning and facilitation of training sessions, as guided by the Community Development Officer / Social Worker.
• 
  Drive and monitor attendance levels at service centres, ensuring consistent engagement.
• 
  Build and maintain strong relationships with community stakeholders and district partners.
• 
  Assist the Volunteer Coordinator in managing a structured and active volunteer base.
• 
  Provide support with social work-related tasks and interventions.
• 
  Ensure effective resource management within programmes.
• 
  Complete all reporting and administrative duties accurately and within required timeframes.

Requirements

• 
  Certificate in Auxiliary Social Work / Community Development or similar.
• 
  Registered with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP).
• 
  2 – 5 years’ experience in social fieldwork.
• 
  Minimum 2 years’ practical experience working with older persons.
• 
  Experience in community development or related environments.
• 
  Valid Code 8 driver’s license and own reliable vehicle.
• 
  Bilingual (English & Afrikaans) with strong public speaking ability.
