Job Description

The Department of Psychology at Wagner College invites applications for an open-rank faculty position in the area of Cognitive Psychology to begin August 2027. Candidates should hold a Ph.D. at the time of appointment. Rank will be dependent upon the candidate’s experience. In addition to undergraduate courses in cognitive psychology and research area, the successful candidate should be able to teach statistics and methodology. Candidates who can involve undergraduate students in laboratory research are highly desirable. Additionally, candidates with an interest in teaching one or more of the following will be given particular attention: history of psychology, sport psychology, and sensation and perception.

Candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching, student mentoring, inclusive pedagogy, and scholarly research. The teaching load is 3/3, with opportunities to teach summer courses.
