Social Analytics Manager

US - Remote

As our Social Analytics Manager, you'll be a pivotal player in our social intelligence team, responsible for owning the full lifecycle of research projects, from designing insightful surveys to crafting compelling client presentations. You'll be a master storyteller, translating complex data into actionable recommendations. You will have the opportunity to present findings directly to our clients, building strong relationships and ensuring the delivery of exceptional research insights.

  • Client Relationship & Communication –Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on assigned projects, proactively addressing questions and providing updates. Anticipate client needs, address concerns promptly, and provide strategic recommendations. Foster long-term partnerships with clients by demonstrating a deep understanding of their business objectives and consistently delivering exceptional service that exceeds their expectations.
  • Project Management & Execution –Independently manage the end-to-end execution of multiple social analytics research projects, ensuring quality, timeliness, and adherence to budget constraints. Collaborate with and guide junior team members to achieve project milestones and deliver exceptional results. Proactively identify and mitigate potential project risks, ensuring smooth execution, adherence to timelines, and on-time delivery of all project deliverables.
  • Research Design & Instrument Development –Design custom surveys tailored to meet specific research objectives and client needs, ensuring data quality, relevance, and actionable insights. Oversee survey programming across multiple projects, ensuring functionality, accuracy, and a seamless user experience for all participants. Provide expert guidance and support to junior team members in survey writing and programming, fostering their growth and development in these critical areas.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting –Lead analysis planning efforts, defining clear objectives, selecting appropriate methodologies, and ensuring alignment with client needs and project goals. Collaborate with team members to develop comprehensive analysis plans that uncover meaningful insights and address key research questions effectively. Conduct in-depth analyses of social data to identify key trends, patterns, and insights, translating complex information into actionable recommendations.
  • Client Presentations –Lead the development of high-quality client reports that meet exacting standards and exceed client expectations, delivering clear, concise, and compelling narratives. Review narratives prepared by junior team members, providing constructive feedback and guidance to enhance clarity, impact, and storytelling techniques. Present findings and recommendations to clients in a clear, concise, and engaging manner, ensuring effective communication of key insights.
  • Quality Assurance & Process Improvement –Oversee quality control processes for multiple research projects, ensuring adherence to established standards and guidelines to maintain data integrity and reliability. Provide guidance and support to junior team members in implementing quality control procedures, promoting accuracy and reliability throughout the research process. Identify opportunities to improve research processes and methodologies, contributing to the continuous improvement of the team's capabilities.
  • Collaboration & Thought Leadership –Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Operations, Product, Marketing) to support company-wide initiatives, leveraging social insights to inform strategic decisions across the organization. Participate in product development efforts, contributing insights from social data and analytics to enhance the functionality and relevance of our offerings. Contribute to research on research initiatives, exploring new methodologies and techniques in social analytics to stay at the forefront of the industry.
  • Mentorship and Guidance –Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering their professional development and growth within the social analytics team. Share expertise and best practices in social listening, data analysis, and reporting to elevate the team's overall capabilities. As the team grows, take on coaching, supporting performance development for more junior team members, and fostering a supportive, collaborative environment where team members can learn, innovate, and excel in their roles.
  • Industry Trend Monitoring –Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in social media and digital marketing, ensuring our methodologies remain innovative and effective. Evaluate new social listening platforms and analytics tools to identify potential opportunities for enhancing our research capabilities. Share insights and recommendations with the team to keep everyone informed and ahead of the curve.
  • Client Relationship Expansion –Identify opportunities to expand client relationships by proactively offering additional services and solutions that address their evolving needs. Develop proposals and presentations to showcase our capabilities and demonstrate the value we can bring to their business. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to foster trust and ensure long-term partnerships.

We are looking for a Social Analytics Manager with strong analytical and communication skills. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of social media platforms, trends, and analytics tools. They should also have experience in designing and executing social media research projects, analyzing data, and presenting findings to clients. The candidate should be a team player with a passion for social media and a desire to help our clients achieve their business goals.

  • 3–5+ years’ experience in social analytics, market research, marketing/communications, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in social listening and analytics within a research or marketing environment.
  • Deep understanding of social media platforms, trends, and analytics tools, with a keen eye for emerging technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with social listening platforms like Meltwater, Brandwatch, or Talkwalker, and other relevant analytics tools.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to transform complex data into compelling, actionable stories.
  • Solid project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Client-facing experience with the ability to manage expectations, build lasting relationships, and present findings with confidence and clarity.
  • Proficiency in data visualization and presentation tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerPoint), to effectively communicate insights to diverse audiences.
  • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
  • A genuine passion for social media, digital trends, and understanding what makes consumers tick, combined with a strong desire to learn and grow.

Per the pay transparency law, the hiring range for this position is $78,000 to $86,000. As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, skill set, and any other factors MarketCast considers relevant to the hiring decision. In addition to your salary, MarketCast believes in providing a competitive total rewards package for its employees.
