Job Description

Security Operations Center Operations Supervisor

The SOC Operations Supervisor will work as part of a team dedicated to providing support for day-to-day business functions in relation to Risk Management, Access Control, Investigations and Security System Administration that ensure safe and secure workspaces at client properties. This position is responsible to oversee the Security Operations Centers and ensure continuity and compliance across multiple business units and teams. The Supervisor will be responsible for the growth of the SOC program as well as supporting the team of Managers, Business Partners, and client employees in the development of highly targeted new opportunities and projects. A key part of this partnership activity is for the internal security management to routinely consult on the needs, priorities, and opportunities to deliver greater value in the pursuit of the success of the site security program.

Relationship Management

  • Lead the Securitas Security Operations Center team
  • Build relationships with all business partners involved with badge program execution and deliverables.
  • Work with other senior managers within the business to maintain compliance on all badging requirements.
  • Liaise with and meet with customers and key contacts on a regular basis to review contract performance and ensure that quality standards are maintained in accordance with Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators
  • Support Company vision, culture and core values through leadership, mentoring and coaching, and by providing, at all times, a role model for all SOC team members.

Program Management

  • The SOC Operations Supervisor will be a key stake holder in the process design and development of SOC and SIOC operations.
  • Participate in strategic planning for Corporate Offices and effectively advocate on behalf of the Workplace Security & Safety team and our customers
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on physical security and SOC Operations, providing consultation to Workplace Services (WPS) teams and other key stakeholders
  • The SOC Operations Supervisor will serve closely the Security Systems team as it relates to the response, management and remediation of alarms.
  • Develop, lead and manage the SOC Program.
  • Support the Account Manager with implementing l Security operational plans and projects to meet SOC goals and objectives
  • Develop and implement process materials for SOC Operators as it relates to Risk Management, Access Control and Investigations
  • Identify future needs and create a curriculum to facilitate the training

People Management

  • In conjunction with Account Manager, manage individual and shift performance to consistently meet performance standards
  • Provide daily hands-on support to the SOC operations team to ensure appropriate execution of SOC processes
  • Assess Operators skills, performance and productivity
  • Instruct team with proper SOC procedures and protocol
  • Oversee team training and exercises to ensure SOC meet desired standard

Technology

  • Manage supporting technology platforms and provide recommendations on new technology that could be leveraged.
  • Support programming, commissioning and driving new builds projects to Security Go Live (SGL) and First Day of Business (FDOB), in partnership with the Security Systems Application Engineer
  • Coordinate with other teams to obtain network information and assist in basic network troubleshooting as it relates to Security Systems and Technology
  • System Support to the Integrators on Security technologies (Access Control, Video Management systems, Intercoms, intrusion, etc.)
  • Ensures security systems and SOC Operations are functioning correctly and with optimal performance

Other duties

  • Perform SOC related projects and tasks
  • Ability to understand and execute SOC emergency procedures

Skill Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in developing a Security Operations Center program, including experience in Systems Administration in a high-tech corporate environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate strong verbal and written skills
  • Experience and proficiency in Risk Management systems such as WorldCue, Everbridge or NC4.
  • Experience and proficiency in Access Control systems such as Genetec, Lenel or C-Cure.
  • Experience and proficiency in Investigation processes.
  • Excellent problem solving , critical thinking, and analytic skills
  • Ability to quickly learn technology associated with the daily SOC operations
  • Ability to design and implement new processes in benefit of SOC Objectives.
  • Possess strong decision-making ability in both routine and urgent situations
  • Excellent customer service skills and great attention to detail
  • Willingness to be a team player, tackle additional duties that arise or are assigned and hold self and others accountable
  • Multi-tasking and adapting to changing priorities and tasks
  • Experience establishing and maintaining cross-functional working relationships
  • Comprehensive knowledge of SOC Systems and Technology preferred, including, but not limited to: Genetec Security Center, CCTV applications, Synergis, Mercury Panels, Stentofon & Commend, HID, Axis, Schlage, etc.
  • Organization and planning experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
