SOC Analyst, Satellite Operations Support

This multidisciplinary role provides mission critical support for both spacecraft and ground infrastructure operations. The Senior Analyst ensures system readiness, operational coordination, procedure development, training, and Level 2/Level 3 support across a global network of teleports and control centers.

The role integrates responsibilities from spacecraft operations, ground segment engineering, infrastructure readiness, anomaly resolution, and cross functional project representation. It is a key operational position requiring rapid response, technical depth, and strong coordination across Satellite Operations, Teleports, Engineering, and Network Operations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS

  • Provide 24x7x365 Level 2/3 operational support for satellite and ground infrastructure.
  • Ensure readiness of TTC&M systems, RF equipment, baseband systems, and operational software tools.
  • Monitor, analyze, and trend ground system performance to proactively maintain readiness.
  • Support third party statement of work compliance of ground infrastructure readiness and availability, and provide interface for ground issues and trends
  • Conduct real‑time operational activities including station‑keeping, relocation, launch, EOR, and IOT operations.
  • Assist Satellite Controllers during anomalies and support recovery procedures.
  • Develop, validate, and maintain procedures, logs, schedules, and operational documentation.
  • Coordinate maintenance, testing, upgrades, and configuration changes with Engineering, Teleports, and vendors.
  • Create and track anomaly reports; support root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Collect metrics, analyze trends, and implement improvements to reduce operational risk.
  • Ensure the Backup SOCs remain ready to take-over operations in case of major disaster affecting the Primary SOC.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 5 years in satellite operations, ground engineering, RF/baseband systems, or related fields.
  • Experience as a Satellite Controller is a plus.
  • Knowledge of TTC&M, RF systems, baseband equipment, and operational tools.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

  • Satellite and ground system availability.
  • Accuracy and timeliness of anomaly response.
  • Compliance with operational constraints and safety requirements.
  • Documentation quality and procedural adherence.
