Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure program adheres to all protocols, contract deliverables, and current federal & state laws, including HIPAA compliance.
  • Coordinate efforts between all programs to advance Janus’ Strategic Plan, initiatives, and priorities.
  • Maintain open communication to share ideas and concerns with Janus Program Leadership.
  • Supervise and direct the case management and peer support team, including schedule coordination, space allocation, task delegation, and collaboration with other departments.
  • Review and approve staff time-off requests and timecards.
  • Serve as a key contact point for law enforcement and probation department staff.
  • Meet weekly with the team to review case management goals, care plan documentation, peer support tasks, and referral responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with the Sr Director of Programs to support program implementation and sustainability.
  • Identify staff in need of performance enhancement, quality of care improvements, general support, or training.
  • Review and address operational incident reports and respond to clinical incident reports under the direction of the Sr Director of Programs.
  • Oversee the successful onboarding and training of new team members in collaboration with the People and Culture Department.
  • Establish relationships and communicate with residents, caseworkers/probation officers, clients, and staff.
  • Resolve potential problems arising with staff or other involved parties.
  • Attend staff/agency meetings and continuing education programs.
  • Collaborate with Janus Program Leadership Team to support clinical operations and integration between medical and behavioral health staff.
  • Follow case management and peer support protocols, implementing operating procedures, workflows, and policies.
  • Monitor and report on access targets/KPIs to the Sr Director of Programs.
  • Develop strategies to meet productivity goals while balancing staff satisfaction and retention
  • Enhance team care and coordination with community partners through effective information exchange.

Requirements

  • Minimum two years employment experience in substance use disorder integrated healthcare setting.
  • Minimum one-year supervisory experience with SUD counselors, peer support and medical support staff roles.
  • Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Familiarity with Managed Care Plan- Central California Alliance for Health CalAIM, and Integrated medical and behavioral health models in treating substance use disorders.
  • Knowledge of HIPPA standards & CFR42 confidentiality restrictions
  • Bilingual Spanish/English preferred but not required.
  • Ability to effectively use internal and external informational technology systems (to include EHRs (Electronic Health Records) (Electronic Health Record), SCHIO (Santa Cruz Health Information Organization), MS Office products, Insurance portals and others) and keep prompt documentation within the systems.
  • Travel may be required.

Additional Requirements

  • CPR/First Aid certification
  • Current TB test

Currently, Janus offers quality programs that treat over 2,500 clients annually using the full continuum of care for substance use disorder (SUD) and co-occurring disorder treatment including detoxification, inpatient and outpatient treatment, perinatal services, DUI education, medication-assisted treatment, behavioral health services, and supervised Sober Living Environment (SLE) housing.
