Job Description

You’re a creative leader with a curious and open mindset. You’re not afraid to forge new paths, find new ways of doing things and share your learnings.

You’ll have the opportunity to use your expertise in communication, problem-solving, empathy and conflict resolution to help thousands of people every day.

In this role, you'll:

Lead the development, coordination and implementation of asset management processes, systems assurance frameworks and governance aligned to Transport’s Asset Management Framework. Operating in a complex and highly visible environment, you’ll focus on lifting asset management maturity, strengthening compliance and ensuring audit actions are closed in a way that is practical, sustainable and embedded into day-to-day operations.

Working in a multi-modal Transport environment which includes Light Rail, Ferries, Maritime, and Buses, you’ll shape and deliver end-to-end programs of work. This includes developing clear delivery plans, sequencing activity, managing dependencies, and establishing the governance, controls and reporting needed to support informed, evidence-based decision-making. You’ll work closely with senior leaders, technical specialists and external providers to align priorities and maintain momentum across a diverse stakeholder landscape.

A key focus of the role is driving assurance outcomes and continuous improvement. You’ll translate audit recommendations into meaningful corrective actions, proactively identify and mitigate risks, define and monitor performance metrics, and improve existing processes through better ways of working, systems and technology. You’ll also lead a team and promote knowledge sharing and capability uplift, ensuring new practices are understood, adopted and sustained over time.

This is a temporary fixed-term full time position up until June 2027.

The role will require a mix of office attendance (231 Elizabeth Street, Sydney) and travel to other NSW locations as required.
