In this role, you'll:


Provide high-level, end-to-end ministerial correspondence service to Transport’s Ministers, Secretary, and divisions, ensuring quality assurance and continuous improvement while adhering to political frameworks and protocols. You’ll research, draft and write Ministerial correspondence that reflects Ministerial tone, language and formality, ensuring responses are accurate, clear and suitable for the final audience without further review or quality assurance.

You’ll also maintain organised records, manage workflows through the Ministerial Correspondence System, and contribute to process improvements that enhance efficiency and consistency.

About you


You’ll bring demonstrated experience coordinating ministerial correspondence or similar documentation within a government setting. You have excellent written, authoring, and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to draft clear, professional, and well-crafted responses that reflect Ministerial tone and formality.

You’re highly skilled at collaborating with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts, building strong relationships and ensuring accurate, cohesive deliverables. Your customer service orientation and client engagement skills enable you to manage sensitive requests with professionalism and confidence.

You also have strong organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage high volumes of work, competing deadlines, and shifting priorities under time pressure.

Relevant tertiary qualifications in communications, public policy, political science, or equivalent experience will set you up for success.
