Job Description

If you’re after impact, there’s no other organisation in Australia that delivers work on this scale.

You're all about the detail and this role will allow you to drive evidence-based decision making to optimise systems and efficiency, not just for the business but for our customers too. It's data and research with impact you can see.

In this role, you'll:

Our Rail Operations Centre (ROC) serves as a mission-critical 'nerve centre' where Sydney Trains and NSW TrainLink work together to manage all aspects of the network. The ROC helps us meet the growing demands of our state's population and Transport’s commitment to providing efficient and reliable services to our customers.

Reporting to our Director Network Performance, you’ll be responsible for leading the Investigations and Assurance teams and functions accountable for reviewing delays and systemic issues for the effective attribution of incidents, providing an independent single source of data.

You’ll be accountable for the integration of Investigations & Assurance to support driving network performance improvement initiatives, whilst ensuring the integrity, objectivity and transparency of performance reporting.

You’ll drive network performance improvement initiatives across the operational branches, raise network performance awareness and accountability and ensure standard operating processes and procedures are embedded in operations to optimise efficiency and support the achievement of quality outcomes.

This permanent position is located in our Alexandria office. The role is governed by our hybrid working model, which forms part of the organisation’s Flexible Working Arrangements and associated procedures. This includes a combination of required onsite attendance and approved remote working.

You’ll have proven experience ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data sourced from multiple systems, particularly when dealing with fragmented or legacy data environments.

You’ll have experience developing and maintaining strong collaborative working relationships to meet stakeholders’ expectations and are comfortable in a fast-paced and dynamic environment where delivery on tight deadlines is critical.
