Job Description

You’re agile, keen and open to meaningful work and opportunities that come your way.

You're looking to contribute to the transformation of the transport sector towards a greener and more sustainable future. You want to actively participate in shaping policies and initiatives that reduce carbon emissions, promote renewable energy adoption, and enhance the overall environmental performance of the transport network.

In this role, you'll:

Working within the Safety, Policy, Environment & Regulation (SPER) Division, as part of the Environment & Sustainability branch.

This role is about leading environmental and sustainability outcomes across major transport projects, ensuring they’re delivered responsibly and to a high standard.

You’ll work closely with teams and stakeholders to influence decisions, manage risk and compliance, and embed best practice across the project lifecycle.

It’s a hands-on leadership role where you guide your team (5) and solve complex environmental challenges as they arise.

Ultimately, you’ll help deliver infrastructure that’s sustainable, compliant, and better for communities across NSW.

The role is Full Time Fixed Term until 30/06/32 and Part Time applicants will be considered.

Your home location is Macquarie Park, but your frequent place of work will be at Burwood, where your client group is based. Some ad hoc travel with advanced notice between Kiama and Newcastle will be required.

Team office days are Tuesdays, alongside a 50% monthly office attendance requirement. Flexible hybrid working arrangements are available to promote balance and productivity.
