BPPJ Ferry is seeking highly qualified individuals to serve as a Snack Bar Attendant. Duties and responsibilities are below:
Snack Bar Attendant
Reports to:
The Snack Bar Attendant is directly responsible and accountable to the Snack Bar Manager.
Supervises:
None
of Duties:
The Snack Bar Attendant is responsible for positive guest interactions while taking orders, serving, and handling transactions in a friendly and efficient manner at the Bridgeport Terminal Snack Bar.
Communicates with guests to take food and beverage orders.
Prepares customer food and beverage orders.
Provides outstanding customer service and engage in suggestive selling.
Maintains equipment, performs preventative maintenance, troubleshoots breakdowns and/or call for repairs.
Performs cash-handling functions, including point-of-sale (POS) system, registers, and daily reporting.
Ensures F&B outlet adheres to the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and
services.
Ensures the daily operation of the retail outlet adheres to operating procedure
guidelines and completes daily check list.
Ensure all items are stored properly to prevent spoiling.
Prepare food according to portion sizes; prepare and present food in an acceptable manner.
Balance cash receipts.
Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
HS diploma or equivalent
Valid TWIC Card or must have completed the enrollment process with TSA
Salary:
$17.00 an hour
Physical Requirements:
Ability to operate a point-of-sale system, telephones and standard office equipment.
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
Able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time

We operate a fleet of more than 60 tugboats, crew boats, and barges in 13 locations along the U.S. East Coast from Eastport, ME to San Juan, PR. The fleet includes 38 Z-Drive/tractor tugs and 20-plus vessels involved in coastal towing with more than a combined 270,000 H.P. In each port, McAllister is engaged in ship docking (servicing more than 1,000 steamship companies), general harbor towing, coastal towing, windfarm support, and bulk transportation. We are currently building two new tractor tugs at Washburn & Doughty, which will add more than 13,000 hp to our fleet.
