Thepositionfocuseson,butisnotlimitedto,teachingundergraduateintroductorygeneral Physicslaboratories.Thesuccessfulcandidatewillbetheinstructorofrecordforthelabsand be responsible for preparation of lab manuals and other lab pedagogical materials. They willprovide training for the graduate student teaching assistants and have overall responsibility forgrading.Theywillworkcloselywithalabmanagertoensureproperlabsareready.The expectedteachingloadsofthepositionwillbetheequivalentoffourcoursespersemester,and training is provided.
T he position offers a competitive salary with full benefits. During the academic year, theLaboratory Lecturer will be expected to live in the Dallas area and hold no other professional oracademicobligations.

ThepositionrequiresagraduatedegreeinPhysicsorarelateddiscipline,withaPhDpreferred. Teachingexperienceingeneralphysicslaboratorycourses,includingteachingassistantships, isrequired,withexperienceasaninstructorofrecordbeingparticularlyvaluable.
Experience in the operation of typical introductory physics laboratory equipment andinstrumentation is also preferred.
