SMTS Application Engineer

Key Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in wearable/bio-sensor evaluation design and application.
  • Deep understanding of wearable/biosensor system requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of data acquisition circuits (ADC/DAC/Amplifier/PGA), digital circuit, microcontrollers, and signal processing. (plus).
  • Experience with software coding such as C/C++/Python, FW (Plus).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and hands-on skills.
  • Self-driven and thrives when facing open-ended tasks.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.

This is an extraordinary opportunity to make key contribution to Medical Monitor division of ADI Digital Healthcare BU. In this role you will help design and solve bio-sensor application related issues, and you will work to find creative solutions for new sensor applications and system design.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Works closely with customers, definers, design engineering, business management to develop a sensor IC evaluation Kit/Demo/Reference Design.
  • Test/debug IC evaluation kit and sensor IC function for new product development. Understand deeply for IC function in system application and provide customers support.
  • Be a trusted technical resource to customers to secure design wins.
  • Devise, and produce reports on, system level designed to show how ADI products are aligned with customer requirements and new application use cases.
  • Interface with customers and the business team to understand market trends and customer needs to create product roadmaps.
  • Write technical documentation to support customer designs, product evaluation boards, as well as full system operation.
  • Interface with customers and the business team to understand market trends and customer needs to create product roadmaps.
  • Provide technical support and trainings to FAEs and customer engineers globally.

Minimum Requirements:

  • BS’s degree in EE or Advanced degree plus 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • 5+ years of optical/bio-sensor applications, electronics design, or product definition.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of basic data acquisition circuits such as amplifier/ADC/DAC, digital circuit such as I2C/SPI and microcontroller.
  • Knowledge of electronic systems architecture, design, and hardware debug experience.
  • Working knowledge of PCB design and layout.
  • Excellent in English verbal and written communication skills.
