To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a SMT Process Engineer located in Guadalajara, North Campus.

Reporting to the Process Engineer Manager, this role is responsible for supervising critical SMT processes, ensuring the correct execution of production plans, and leading the technical team to meet quality, cost, delivery, and continuous improvement objectives.

What a typical day looks like:

• Supervise technical activities in SMT processes and coordinate the team.
• Develop and optimize programs for DEK, SPI, Camalot, and Press Fit equipment.
• Analyze and validate stencils; perform SPI debug and P&P failure analysis.
• Develop reflow profiles as well as instrumentation of profiling boards.
• Create procedures, visual aids, and technical presentations.
• Perform capacity calculations, rates per station and identify bottlenecks in the process.
• Document and implement continuous improvement actions and Kaizen events.
• Should be able to troubleshoot PCB Assembly process issues.
• High level participation in daily production activities and effective problem solving on daily issues.

Experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• BA/BS or equivalent work experience.
• Fluent English.
• Experience operating and optimizing screen printing processes
• Strong knowledge of Solder Paste Inspection (SPI) systems
• Expertise in reflow ovens and thermal profiling
• Experience with press-fit assembly processes
• Experience in edge bonding/glue dispensing (Camalot)
• Experience in flux dispensing systems (Asymtek)
• Knowledge of plasma cleaning processes (Micron)
• Experience with vacuum reflow oven technologies
• Programming and implementation of intelligent torque systems
• Development, setup, and balancing of assembly lines
