Purpose

The Smart Hands Technician provides on‑site technical support across customer locations, assisting with the maintenance, servicing, and support of electronic security systems. This role is ideal for candidates looking to build a technical career in security systems, with structured training and clear progression opportunities.

Major Responsibilities

• Assist with the maintenance of intruder alarm, access control, and video surveillance systems across customer sites.

• Carry out planned maintenance works under the direction of senior engineers and service management.

• Provide on‑site support to lead engineers where a second technician is required.

• Use mobile applications and reporting tools to complete service documentation accurately.

• Maintain a high standard of customer service and professionalism at all times.

• Take responsibility for company van stock, tools, and safety equipment.

• Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, and Quality standards.

• Be flexible to support operational requirements, including occasional out‑of‑hours work where required.

• Undertake any other reasonable duties as assigned by the Service Manager.

Experience & Knowledge

· Understanding or interest in electronic security systems (training provided).

· Basic IT and computer skills.

· Willingness to learn and develop technical skills.

· Full clean driving licence is essential.
