About Small World Auto Repair

Small World Auto Repair is seeking an Automotive Service Advisor to join its team in Eugene, Oregon, earning $20–$30 per hour with weekends off.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers, document vehicle concerns, and create accurate repair orders.
• Prepare and present estimates for automotive maintenance, parts, and repair services.
• Explain technician findings, maintenance recommendations, and repair options clearly to customers.
• Obtain customer authorizations, communicate repair updates, and follow up throughout the service process.
• Coordinate closely with automotive technicians to manage repair orders from vehicle intake through completion.
• Use Tekmetric for shop management and digital vehicle inspection information.
• Communicate professionally with customers through phone calls, text messages, and email.
• Process customer payments, including cash and credit card transactions, and assist with occasional customer transportation or parts pickups.

Qualifications

• Automotive industry experience required, preferably involving customer service and vehicle maintenance or repair.
• Approximately 3 years of Automotive Service Advisor or Service Writer experience preferred; candidates with less experience will be considered.
• Working knowledge of automotive parts and the ability to understand and communicate repair recommendations.
• Independent automotive repair shop experience highly preferred; dealership and tire shop backgrounds are also welcome.
• Familiarity with domestic, Asian, and European vehicles preferred.
• Experience using Tekmetric or similar shop management software preferred; willingness to learn the shop's systems is important.
• Strong verbal and written communication, customer service, organization, and teamwork skills.

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly Pay: $20–$30 per hour, depending on relevant skills and experience.
• Pay Structure: Straight hourly compensation with no current commission plan.
