Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performing basic service and repairs on a limited portfolio of handpieces and/or small equipment as assigned by Supervisor

  • Performs diagnosis and failure analysis using appropriate test equipment and tooling.

  • Documents device evaluation, service recommendations, parts required and preventative maintenance feedback on service work orders.

  • Repairs and performs quality testing of products to established specifications as required.

  • May provide technical support on a limited portfolio of products as required

  • Performs other tasks as assigned by lead or management.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Ability to read, understand and perform standard procedures and work instructions.

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

  • Basic electrical / mechanical skills desired.

  • Basic math and logic skills required.

  • Basic computer skills and software use desired.

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

GENERAL SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Willingness to learn repair of more advanced products.

  • Ability to work successfully in a team environment.

  • Ability to work without direct supervision.

  • Upholds company policies and standards.

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • 0- 6 months professional work experience with proficiency in relevant mechanical trades preferred.

PREFERRED EDUCATION:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Travel – typically not required.
  • Position typically works in a manufacturing environment on site where environmental conditions are stable. May be exposed to higher levels of noise typical in a manufacturing environment.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely is required to sit or stand for extended periods of time; use hands to finger, and operate manual and non-manual machinery; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, stretch and lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Position requires that the employee use eye protection using certain equipment/machinery.
