Reports to: Small Business Documentation Manager

Status: Non-Exempt

Grade: 6

Pay Range: $20.00 - $28.90

Actual compensation within the pay range will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location.

Location: Pittsfield, MA

Purpose/Objective

Prepares documentation for a variety of commercial small business loan closings, modifications, and processing; provides for follow-up on exceptions and modifications, all in accordance with loan policy.

Key Accountabilities

  • Supports the Bank’s Small Business Lending portfolio by preparing loan documentation for various loan closings, i.e. commercial mortgages, term loans, lines of credit, and small business express loans. Files UCC financing statements online to secure collateral. 50%
  • Assists in loan closings, prepares checks/wires and edits documents as required. Reviews all closing documents to ensure completeness and signatories and follows up with attorneys and Bank Personnel on missing, incomplete or recorded documents. Images loan and credit documents according to the Bank’s image file system and inputs loan information to the OSI system; funds the loans and enters collateral and ticklers for future follow-up to preserve collateral position. 30%
  • Prepares loan modifications and processes maintenance on the OSI system, prepares manual bills, and calculates interest accruals. 20%
  • Ensures compliance with all banking laws, rules, regulations, and prescribed policies/practices/procedures necessary to reduce risk and uphold ethical standards related to and required by one’s duties.

Education:

  • Associates Degree preferred

Experience:

  • 2-5 years’ banking experience, lending experience preferred

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Proficient with MS Office & Internet Microsoft Word, and Excel
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills
  • Sound understanding of OSI
  • Ability to multitask
  • Strong organizational skills
