Small Animal Veterinarian – Fayetteville, NC
An established small animal veterinary practice is seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian to join its medical team. This position is suited for a veterinarian with strong clinical experience, excellent diagnostic abilities, and an interest in internal medicine and advanced diagnostic procedures.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical care for small animal patients.
- Perform thorough physical examinations and develop appropriate diagnostic plans.
- Conduct and interpret abdominal ultrasound examinations.
- Evaluate and manage complex medical and internal medicine cases.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and diagnostic results.
- Provide preventive and wellness care.
- Communicate diagnoses, treatment recommendations, and prognosis clearly to clients.
- Maintain accurate and complete medical records.
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and other medical team members.
- Participate in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining high standards of patient care.
- Contribute to a collaborative and supportive hospital culture.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
- Active veterinary license or eligibility for licensure.
- Strong proficiency in abdominal ultrasound.
- Experience with echocardiography is preferred.
- Strong interest and experience in internal medicine.
- Comfortable managing complex medical cases.
- Excellent diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume practice.
