Job Description

In this role, you'll:

  • Lead the development of industry insights and the adoption of emerging technologies in service delivery approaches across technical standards, assurance frameworks, and supplier accreditation.
  • Provide thought leadership and demonstrate an innovative experimental approach to business process reform and manage relationships with our technology partners to ensure operational support and adoption of new technologies.
  • Leverage and direct research, analytics, and global benchmarking insights to drive continuous improvement in service delivery across Technically Assured Organisation (TAO) Scheme accreditation, assurance practices, and technical requirements including Transport Standards.
  • Be a proactive partner and trusted technical internal and external advisor on industry insights, innovation and technology matters, including the use of Artificial Intelligence.
  • Lead preparation of evidence-based high-quality reports, insights, and recommendations and present to executive management, governance committees, and external stakeholders as required.
  • Manage and develop a team, providing direction, coaching, and performance management to achieve high-quality outcomes and foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
  • New permanent, fulltime role | Home office Macquarie Park. Hybrid work arrangements based on role requirements and in line with Transport's policies for workplace presence.

About you

You are a proactive leader that thrives when driving strategic outcomes, adopting emerging technologies and interrogating data to deliver meaningful insights. You are skilled in balancing priorities, fostering innovation, optimising resources, and managing risk, while building strong stakeholder relationships and navigating diverse expectations. You also demonstrate:

  • Highly developed knowledge and expertise in transport industry insights and innovation and in providing strategic evidence-based actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Strong background in digital strategy, emerging technologies, business improvement, digital service platforms, and digital knowledge-sharing tools.
  • Proven ability to transform complex data into meaningful insights that drive organisational actions and influence behaviours.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, or demonstrated relevant, equivalent professional experience.
