In this role, you'll:
The Senior Manager, Commercial ensures the branch and its portfolio of projects are commercially protected across the full project lifecycle – from development and delivery strategy through procurement, delivery, defects liability and final project close-out—through appropriate contractual management arrangements and dispute resolution strategies. As the Senior Manager, Commercial, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the commercial strategy and governance of major programs and projects, ensuring successful development and delivery of projects through best-practice procurement and contract management, commercial risk management, dispute avoidance, and contractor performance frameworks. This is a highly influential leadership role where you will provide expert commercial guidance, drive complex contract negotiations, and establish innovative approaches that deliver value for money, mitigate risk, and support the achievement of strategic business objectives.
Working across a diverse stakeholder environment, you will partner with senior leaders, industry partners, and specialist advisors to solve complex commercial challenges, influence key decision-making, and enhance commercial practices in line with government policy and industry best practice. About you
This is a Permanent Full-Time (PFT) Transport Senior Service Manager (TSSM) role.
This is a regionally based role, open to applicants across regional NSW. While the team hub is Newcastle, the successful candidate’s primary work location may be negotiated. The role requires travel to project locations across the region as needed to support Project Directors. Travel requirements will vary according to project needs and will be discussed with the successful candidate.
