Job Description

You’re a creative leader with a curious and open mindset. You’re not afraid to forge new paths, find new ways of doing things and share your learnings.

You’ll have the opportunity to use your technical, communications, problem-solving and partnership expertise to assure the performance of key transport assets across Sydney.

In this role, you'll:

You’ll provide leadership in overseeing asset performance across motorway concessions, ensuring monitoring, reporting and assurance frameworks are aligned to contractual obligations, interface agreements and Transport for NSW and NSW Motorway’s objectives. By establishing and maintaining robust reporting systems and dashboards, you’ll drive greater transparency across asset condition, service performance, compliance and risk, enabling clear line of sight for decision-makers.

You’ll draw on strong analytical capability to interpret complex technical and operational data, identifying trends, systemic risks and opportunities for improvement. This insight will inform the advice you provide to senior executives, helping shape decisions and prioritise interventions. You’ll also lead oversight of concession compliance, coordinating technical, operational and commercial reviews to ensure obligations are met and issues are proactively managed.

A key focus will be driving effective assurance to translate into meaningful action and improved outcomes. You’ll work collaboratively across NSW Motorways, Transport, private concession holders and operators and delivery partners to resolve complex issues and strengthen accountability, while championing continuous improvement in governance and reporting practices. As a senior leader, you’ll lead and develop a large, high-performing team and position your function as a trusted centre of expertise.

About you

You are an experienced and values-driven leader with a strong background in asset performance, reporting or assurance within a complex infrastructure, transport or regulated environment. You bring demonstrated experience interpreting and managing complex contracts, project deeds and interface agreements, ensuring compliance while balancing risk and competing priorities.

You have a proven ability to design and embed governance and reporting frameworks, and you’re confident working with complex data—able to distil insights into clear, strategic advice for executive audiences. Your communication and stakeholder engagement skills are highly developed, enabling you to build trusted relationships and influence outcomes across government, operators and service providers.

You bring sound judgement, resilience and a strong commitment to accountability, and you thrive in environments requiring reform and continuous improvement. Recognised as a subject matter expert, you provide credible, strategic advice and lead with confidence. Supported by relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience, you have the leadership capability to develop and inspire a large team to deliver high-quality outcomes for the people of NSW.
