Job Description


Must adhere to the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, and other applicable laws and regulations. Assist in maintaining good public relations with customers and an open door policy with all employees. Comply with safety and security standards of the casino and complying with pre-determined internal control procedures. Is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all slot machines and related equipment.

Key Accountabilities

  • Is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all slot machines and related casino equipment.
  • Is responsible to ensure that all applicable Internal Control Manual policies and procedures pertaining to slot machines are strictly adhered to.
  • Perform Jackpot inspections as outlined by the Internal Control Manual by verifying the Slot Machine has not been tampered with.
  • Is responsible to convert, move and install slot machines and casino related equipment as required.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge on the different slot machines.
  • Promote and maintain the utmost integrity and the highest caliber of customer service.
  • To respect all customers, employees and Stakeholders.
  • Maintain general awareness of gaming operation at all times and comply with security policies and procedures in order to secure company assets.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Comply with safety procedures including use of required safety equipment and identify unsafe practices or conditions.
  • Additional or different responsibilities or duties, which are consistent with the position summary, may be assigned at the discretion of position’s supervisor.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education and Qualification Requirements

  • Requires a High School diploma or comparable combination of equivalent working experience and education with a background in electronics.
  • Requires experience in the related field of one (1) or more years and hands-on working experience in a slot operations area and electronics area.
  • Possess strong organizational, interpersonal, analytical, communication and managerial skills.
  • Requires working knowledge of computer software packages and the ability to troubleshoot electronic equipment.
  • Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs. without restriction and move machines weighing 100-800 pounds using proper equipment.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but will escalate during periods of peak business.
  • The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend from the waist, squat, get on knees, sit on floor and get up off the floor unassisted, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms.
  • Requires Registration as a Category 2 Gaming Assistant through the AGCO.
  • Bilingual (English/French) is an asset but not required

Work Environment Considerations

  • Fast paced with multiple priorities, deadlines and deliverables; exposure to some conflict, distress and noise;
  • This role requires a flexible schedule that adapts to the business needs of a 24-hour operation; will have non-traditional work hours including evening and weekend shifts.
