Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Slot Supervisor is to oversee employees of their assigned shift with specialized attention to employee engagement, guest service, protection of company assets, and ensure staff duties are performed. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures of Two Kings Casino.
Responsibilities:
- Use strategies to engage employees, foster a positive work environment, gather, and resolve employee issues, and retain top performers.
- Maintain ongoing communication with employees to share information, listen to feedback, and role- model Two Kings Casino standards.
- Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
- Ensures customer service standards are followed by all team members and addresses issues as they arise.
- Ensures efficiency of Slot machines and related gaming equipment during assigned shift.
- Provides authorizing/verifying signature for jackpot payments, when applicable, in accordance with established procedures.
- Assists with service calls in accordance with established procedures.
- Notify Slot Technicians if any technical issues arise.
- Manage team expectations, ensuring compliance with departmental and company policies including coaching and discipline sessions.
- Ensure that disciplinary notices, and superior job performance notices are complete, on time and accurate.
- Manage, organize, and complete assigned projects with attention to detail within the established deadline.
- Ensure inventory of all company equipment and sensitive keys during shift are maintained and accounted for.
- Protect the confidentiality of company files and documents under immediate control.
- Ability to effectively communicate professionally in English, in both oral and written forms.
- Possesses a thorough working knowledge of the various types of slot machines, their functions, malfunctions, and payout schedules.
- Maintains security of all games, money, and employees.
- Take advantage of opportunity to build long-term relationships with customers.
- Routinely strives to build and maintain rapport with Slot players and handles customer disputes, making every effort to achieve customer satisfaction.
- Research and resolve guest and / or employee issues effectively and professionally.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) and have knowledge of Slot operating systems.
- Working knowledge of gaming regulations.
- Preform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, hospitality, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in slot operations or casino floor supervision preferred or 2-3 supervisor in hospitality industry (required).
- Prior supervisory or team leadership experience in a gaming environment is highly desirable.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Catawba Gaming License.
- Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong understanding of slot machine operations, gaming regulations, and casino policies.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to train, motivate, and evaluate slot attendants and floor staff.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to resolve guest issues professionally and efficiently.
- Proficient in using slot management systems and basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft office, excel, word, outlook.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work an alternate schedule as needed.
- Ability to work in a loud fast-paced environment (may occasionally be exposed to second-hand cigarette smoke).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays based on business needs.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms; bend to open/use lower drawers or cabinetry; to talk, hear, and see. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
