ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Assume the duties of the Slot Manager in their absence.
• Supervise the security of all cash keys related to collections and fills of slot coinage.
• Manage and direct activities of the slot department operations and personnel.
• Screen and interview qualified applicants for the position within the Slot Department.
• Ensures that the highest possible standards of customer service and associate relations are maintained and carried out in fair and equitable manner.
• Delegates the authority of all monetary transactions, and makes decisions on such matters as short pays/no pays and customers short change.
• Makes recommendations and suggestions to hire, transfer, suspend, promote, discharge, assign, evaluate, reward, or discipline the associates in his/her span of control.
• Possess and maintain current information regarding new slot and video game technology and competitive industry practices.
• Leads by setting a positive example to all Associates.
• Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.
• Preform all other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Directly supervises Slot Supervisors on assigned shift; indirectly supervises the activities of all Slot Associates on a given shift.

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training Associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining Associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

AGE and GAMING:

21 years of age or above

Gaming property – Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Choctaw Gaming Commission.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or GED is required. A minimum of five (5) years of slot experience is required. A minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience is preferred.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Strong organizational and communication skills required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence. Ability to write basic instructions and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the Associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Essential responsibilities include moderate physical ability such as lift or maneuver at least fifty (50) pounds, and standing/walking 80% of the shift. Bending, stooping and stretching of arms during assigned shift. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an Associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. When on the casino floor or other designated areas may be subjected to tobacco smoke.

Due to the unpredictable nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, Associates must be able to work varying-schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
