Summary of Functions
Observe guests within an assigned slot area and provide assistance when required or requested. Responsibilities include monitoring and notifying management of jackpots, minor repair of slot machines, currency exchange, maintaining security and accuracy of assigned funds, and in full accordance with all operational policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Ensure compliance with the Kalispel Tribe of Indians- State of Washington Gaming Compact, Internal Controls, NIGC Regulations and Northern Quest Policies and Procedures.
• Notify and Assist in Jackpot payouts.
• Promote player’s club card usage by offering new member sign ups and card reprints for existing player’s club members.
• Assist with non-alcoholic beverage service as needed.
• Communicate accurate knowledge of casino promotions and property-wide events to guests and players.
• Apply positive communication and interpersonal skills with guests, (internal and external) at all times.
• Observe and maintain contact with patrons within an assigned section and renders assistance as necessary.
• Initiate notification, verification and assist with hand paid jackpots.
• Perform currency exchanges and other cash transactions.
• Responsible for the security and accuracy of assigned bank/funds.
• Maintain excellent grooming and personal conduct according to Northern Quest Resort & Casino Standards.
• Monitor and correct minor machines malfunctions, including changing paper and Bill Validator Jams as well as completion of Machine Entry Access Logs.
• Responsible for proper radio etiquette, responding to calls and following up with player's service request.
• Celebrate all winnings with the player creating a lasting and special moment for them.
• Notify Supervisor on player complaints and machine malfunctions not listed above.
• Operation of an impressed bank on the gaming floor.
• Maintain accurate transactions.
• Help maintain cleanliness of gaming floor in the assigned area, including picking up trash, emptying ashtrays and pushing in chairs.
• Perform preventative maintenance on machines.
• Assist with Slot Tournaments as needed.
• Ensure control/protection of company assets.
• Available and willing to work any changes in hours deemed necessary for Business Levels.
• Responsible for maintaining a good attendance record.
• May be required to be a panelist for the Internal Review Hearings.

Supervisory Responsibilities
• This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Education & Experience
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
• Ability to handle cash accurately.
• Minimum of one-year prior experience in working with public in a Cash handling environment.
• Knowledge of Slot machine functions is preferred.
Skills & Abilities
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships with department head and team members.
• Skill in solving practical problems and dealing with situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Skill in identifying and resolving administrative problems under pressure conditions.
Other Requirements
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Class III Gaming License.
• Title 31 regulations
• Food Handlers Card
• Completion and passing score on a slot math test.
• Available and willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
Physical Demands

• Constantly requires the ability to give and receive detailed information through verbal communication.

• Constantly requires working with fingers rather than the whole hand or arm.
• Constantly requires repetitive movement of the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
• Required to walk the Casino floor at a fast pace, covering at least one-third of the casino at a time to accomplish tasks.
• Occasionally requires standing and/or sitting for sustained periods of time.
• Occasionally requires ascending or descending stairs or ramps using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.
• Occasionally requires raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally.
• Occasionally requires stooping which entails the use of the lower extremities and back muscles. Infrequently requires crouching.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

• While performing the duties of this position, the employee may occasionally be exposed to tobacco smoke, moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles. Travel Requirements
Local travel is occasionally required. Travel outside of the state is infrequently required. Typical travel time is generally less than a week.
