Skilled Worker

Aberdeen & Aberdeenshire (may on occasion need to assist in Dundee)

£26,452 - £27,844 per year

40 hours per week – Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:30

We are looking for two Skilled Workers to be a part of the new ‘Clean and Clear’ team, which falls under the Voids team, and currently consists of a team of 7 trade operatives. Working in teams of two, you will be required to provide an effective maintenance and repairs service across one or more basic level trade operations, that meet contract and customer expectations.

The role of Skilled Worker will include:

  • Clear and dispose of furniture, rubbish, and waste from void properties.
  • Deep clean properties and external areas to lettable standards.
  • Follow health and safety procedures and report any hazards or compliance issues.
  • Work closely with colleagues, contractors, and housing teams to meet turnaround targets.
  • Maintain accurate records of completed work and use company tools, equipment, and vehicles responsibly.
  • Assist with small trades tasks, gutter cleaning, laboring etc

Skills and experiences:

  • Recent experience of undertaking a similar role
  • Experience carrying out clearance work
  • Good knowledge of health and safety practices.
  • Ability to manage workloads efficiently and work as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Basic IT skills for recording and updating work activities.
  • Experience using tools, equipment and vehicles safety.
  • Some experience of working to deadlines and prioritizing workloads
  • This role will involve driving in company business. To drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a fully valid UK driving license.
