Skilled Trades Worker, you will perform skilled work in the new construction, remodeling, and repair maintenance of county parks and facilities. This position starts out paying $20.10/hr (Step 1), benefits start within 60 days of hire, and there are numerous opportunities for both growth and development. In this role, you will...
Respond to work orders for repairs in county parks, involving carpentry, painting, concrete work, and irrigation.
Assist other staff in routine or corrective maintenance projects.
Perform scheduled playground inspections.
Responsible for managing materials, multiple work orders, purchasing cards, and maintaining county equipment.
Evaluate and communicate potential issues. (locates, calendar conflicts, permitting, other related issues)
Paperwork creation and completion (work orders, inspection reports, invoices, p-card receipts)
Work Hours:
Full-Time, 40 hours per week.
Typical Schedule: 6:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Work schedules may vary due to split shifts, rotations, on-call, emergencies, etc.
As a reminder, all county employees are considered essential and must be prepared to protect and support the community and its citizens. Each employee, without exception, will have a duty assignment and be required to work during a disaster or declared emergency.
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation from High School or a G.E.D. Certificate.
Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in park-related maintenance.
Starting Pay Range: $20.10/hr (Step 1)
