Cockrill Bend - Career SolutionsThe Skilled Trades Trainer is responsible for training program participants in fundamental residential construction skills through classroom instruction, safety training, hands-on learning, and work-readiness development. This position ensures trainees gain essential knowledge in safety procedures, proper use of hand and power tools, construction match, blueprint reading, communication, employability skills, and materials handling.
The Skilled Trades Trainer works closely with Skilled Trades Program Manager to maintain NCCER Core Curriculum standards, provide high-quality instruction, support trainees’ career goals, and build relationships with local construction employers to create exposure to entry-level employment opportunities. The ideal candidate is an experienced construction professional with strong carpentry skills, additional expertise in at least one other trade, and proven leadership experience.
