Job Description
Performs skilled technical activities to support manufacturing operations, including maintenance, troubleshooting, and tooling design. This role involves working with automation systems such as robots and cobots, ensuring equipment reliability, and driving continuous improvement in manufacturing processes. The position requires the ability to work independently while also coaching team members and supporting overall production goals in a multi-shift environment.
Key Responsibilities 1. Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE)
- Follow all HSE policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify, report, and correct workplace hazards; stop work in case of major safety risks.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and promote a safety-first culture.
- Recognize environmental impacts and take actions to minimize risks.
- Participate in HSE training and support safe manufacturing practices, including electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic safety.
2. Quality
- Apply high standards of workmanship and craftsmanship in all activities.
- Perform work as per drawings, specifications, and operating manuals using appropriate tools and instruments.
- Support equipment uptime through failure analysis and corrective actions.
- Follow quality procedures and documentation, including PFMEA and work instructions.
- Conduct inspections and raise issues to minimize quality and cost risks.
3. Maintenance & Manufacturing Support
- Perform preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities.
- Execute planned Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules and provide feedback for system improvements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to robots, cobots, and manufacturing equipment.
- Support Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives and improve equipment reliability.
4. Tooling & Design Support
- Develop and modify tooling designs using AutoCAD (2D and 3D).
- Apply GD&T principles in product and tooling design.
- Prepare and maintain manufacturing documentation such as RFQs, purchase requests (PR), PFMEA, and tooling maintenance records.
- Support new equipment procurement and installation processes.
5. Production & Delivery
- Ensure smooth manufacturing operations by minimizing downtime and improving process efficiency.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas, including machine cleaning and housekeeping.
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify and eliminate manufacturing constraints.
- Perform additional duties as required to meet production targets.
6. Teamwork & Continuous Improvement
- Communicate effectively with team members and support functions.
- Coach and guide less experienced team members.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
- Engage in training and personal development aligned with business needs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or diploma in mechanical, electrical, or manufacturing engineering is preferred.
- May require compliance with export control or regulatory licensing requirements.
- Willingness to work in three rotational shifts.

- Strong knowledge of GD&T and its application in product and tooling design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D) for tooling design and modifications.

- Troubleshooting skills for robots, cobots, and automated manufacturing systems.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing KPIs and performance metrics.
- Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.

Experience
- Significant relevant work experience in manufacturing, maintenance, or automation environments.
- Hands-on experience with robotic systems, tooling design, and industrial equipment.
- Experience in continuous improvement initiatives such as TPM.
- Practical exposure to manufacturing processes, documentation, and equipment maintenance systems.
